Wholehearted Parenting

I think most of us as parents do the very best we can with the tools that we have at the time. I first learned about wholehearted parenting from one of my inspirations and teachers, Brene Brown. I realized then that the difference between “parenting” and “wholehearted parenting” was about being truly authentic with my relationships with my children. Parenting is not about being perfect and it’s not about sheltering our children from pain or emotions, it’s about being real and allowing ourselves to show up and be seen, even with our children. Finding the balance is sometimes tricky and that’s where our work comes in. Allowing our children to see us also cultivates and supports their own intuition while creating healthy relationships with our children and modeling behavior that will allow our children to embrace the life that we all dream for them. I look forward to working with you as you explore your own roles as parents.
